Jasmine Cannon
Founder / Producer / Director
Jasmine Cannon is an award-winning filmmaker and documentarian from Alabama. She studied documentary storytelling at the Medill School at Northwestern University where she focused on social justice and sports stories before beginning her career as a video producer at one of the world's largest magazine companies in New York City. Jasmine has worked in numerous capacities in the film and television industry on a number of different projects including Netflix's "AMEND," Disney's "Black is King," and ABC and Hulu's "Soul of a Nation” and “Killing County.” Recently, she was a producer on PBS's "Great Migrations" hosted by Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Jasmine is currently directing and producing UTICA, a feature documentary that highlights Utica, Mississippi's agricultural and cultural revitalization and the impact of systemic neglect on rural communities across America. Jasmine holds a master’s degree in journalism with a focus on documentary storytelling from Northwestern University and a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from The University of Alabama. Jasmine is passionate about telling stories about people in and from the American South and beyond. She hopes to inspire kids from her home state and other places to dream big and go after their dreams.

Jerry Michael Smith

Jerry Micheal Smith is the epitome of a Renaissance Man. Born and raised in Tuskegee, Jerry graduated from The University of Alabama with a degree in Marketing and has worked for a myriad of the world's largest companies, leaving an impact at each of them with his positive presence and constant desire for reaching the highest of heights. Jerry is a passionate creative who always has a unique and grand creative idea that pushes boundaries and inspires those who have been able to experience his work. Jerry is also a photographer and real estate agent based out of Atlanta.
Lauren Brock
Associate Producer
Lauren Brock is a native of Montgomery, Alabama and a recent graduate of the University of Alabama where she produced a number of idiosyncratic film projects. Lauren is passionate about photography and documentary filmmaking and is known for catching the true essence of all of her subjects.
Cameron Miles
Associate Producer
Cameron Miles is a dynamic force in the film industry, excelling as both a visionary producer and skilled director known for his work on award winning shorts, such as The Christmas Hitlist. Cameron has also worked on the short documentary, Freedmen Settlements: A Story of Community Resilience, Red Lobster’s infamous Boil Bag commercial and more! He has worked under wonderful creatives such as Ty Walker, Errol Sadler, Neil Berkeley, Eric Appel, Jermaine Dupri, and alongside Shaquille O’Neal, Aspen Kennedy and many more!
